Latest Commentary:We are living in troubled and dangerous times. And we are experiencing the effects of the "War on Terrorism" ( 9/11 WTC, Iraq) and their threats are even worse. Now we have two natural disasters, KATRINA, RITA, and their long term affects on all of us. TV has enabled us to see the best and worst in human nature in the suffering of their destruction. As the "restoration" process takes place, we need to ask "What kind of people are we? Am I?" What will our national "Character" become? I believe our BEST will prevail! I am very much aware that for decades we have been in a "Cultural War," and there is a "Great Debate" going on about our Morals and Ethics— and the Truth! My search for the answers began over 20 years ago with Socrates, who taught, "The First business of Life begins with Know Thyself!" This led me into the study and research of the "Wisdom of the Ages," Philosophy, Theology, Psychology and Science. Along the way I discovered the SECRET to TRUE LOVE and TRUE HAPPINESS. And where they were compatible with the Truth I applied their Truth to the development of the PSProgram. Now, we are offering it to the world! I want to quote four of the Twentieth century, who are renowned authorities in their fields, which will help to validate the "Secret" of the PSProgram with very critical Knowledge regarding its Reality and Truth.
The statements below confirm the Truth by leaders and identifies their observations, knowledge and experience.
PHILOSOPHY— Dr. Mortimer Adler, a leading philosopher ot the Twentieth Century, claims in his book Ten Philosophical Mistakes. Five are listed below for confirming the importance of our "awareness" of the Unconscious and Reality.
- We assume we are AWARE of a) External world and b) Internal world (Mind, Body, Sprit, Soul). This is NOT TRUE.
- We assume that what we "Perceive" is Reality and ruth. This is NOT TRUE.
- We assume general Knowledge and Opinion are the same and enable us to make judgements on Morality. This is NOT TRUE.
- We assume we KNOW the definition and meaning of Happiness both long and short term, i.e. contentment and pleasure, etc. This is NOT TRUE.
- We assume we are FREE to Choose WITHOUT any Responsibility for the consequences. This is NOT TRUE.
The Philosophical, Theological, Psychological and Scientific search for Truth and Reality, with reason and logic, is obscured and distorted by these mistakes (Adler).
The following Psychological statements from major leaders in Psychoanalysis confirm the critical importance of the Unconscious "Awareness" of our Personality Structure which is provided by the PSProfile.
Dr. Eric FROMM: "We have a 'State of Consciousness Awareness' and a 'State of UNConscious UNAwareness' in our Mind. The content of our Consciousness is mostly fictional and delusional and precisely does NOT reperesent Reality! Consciousness as such, then, is nothing desirable. Only if the hidden Reality (in our Unconscious) is revealed. I emphasize MOST of what is in our Consciousness is 'false consciousness'." Zen Buddhism and Psychoanalysis, page 98.
Dr. Carl JUNG: Most people confuse "Self Knowledge" with knowledge of their Conscious Ego Perosnalities, and take it for granted that he knows himself. But the Ego knows only its own contents, NOT the Unconscious and its content. What is called "Self Knowledge" is therefeore a limited knowledge, most of it dependent upon social factors, of what actually goes on in the human Psyche.
Dr. Viktor FRANKL (Auschwitz survivor): "Let us consider the ultimate goals of Psychoanalysis. it's alleged goal is to help bring about a compromise between the demands of the Unconscious and the requirement of Reality. What we need is a 'Reality Principle' for a true picture of the TOTAL psycho-physico-spiritual Entity which is Man." Man's Search for Meaning.
