ICIF
The International Cultural Interchange Foundation (ICIF), a non-profit, educational organization, was established in 1976. The ICIF has developed and implemented educational and travel programs in the United States and Overseas. Principal activities of the ICIF include applying the PSProfile to Marriage and Family counseling and conducting the Tours for Peace. The ICIF is a major distributor of the PSProfile and contributes to its further research and development.The ICIF launched the True Love Marriage website in 2002 as a means to promote and proliferate the use of the PSProfile by Marriage and Family Counselors, couples, and individuals.
We have produced our research, development and programs entirely from the contributions of others. Why have they given so generously? Because they believe in what the ICIF is chartered to do— World Peace and Cooperation through self-discovery and mutual understanding.
Why is the ICIF doing all this? We believe that the understanding you receive from your TRUE SELF and the insight you gain about Others will create more Peace and Cooperation through practicing the "Way of True Love" with Friends, Careers, and especially Marriage and Family.

The Tours for Peace are designed to let specific professional and vocational groups network as they travel in another culture overseas. Tours for Peace match you with your counterparts overseas and give you a framework for exchanging ideas and experiences with each other. The Tours For Peace are focused on discussions of current events, Peace issues, and shared goals.
Past groups participating in Tours for Peace have included physicians, teachers, educators, engineers, students, realtors, and city managers. Most tours are tax deductible, and some are university accredited. All travel arrangements and logistics are handled by the ICIF, so participants can relax and learn without having to worry about travel details.
Tours for Peace are conducted in cooperation and participation with local educators, civic leaders, religious institutions, service clubs and other local citizens representing a cross section of the visited country. Programs have been designed to provide a basic introduction into the history and culture of each nation. The key examples of Architecture, Art, Food, Industry and scenic beauty of each nation are included in the program to allow each participant the broadest experience, and to inform them of the historical and cultural expressions of the nations which they visit.
The California State Department of Adult Education and the Methodist Board of Education have both endorsed the Tours for Peace. California State University, Sacramento offers courses to participants awarding University credit upon completion. Lectures and reading material on various subjects are prepared by some of the world's best educators.
The ICIF has had Tours for Peace in China, Hong Kong, Japan and Italy. The Foundation is now expanding to include numerous other countries in the future. This opportunity combining travel, learning and a person-to-person experience is truly unique. The International Cultural Interchange Foundation is grounded in a philosophy that a people-to-people exchange can and does provide greater understanding, and every such interaction makes a contribution to World Peace.
